The school system of Baden-Württemberg
In Germany the children attend school (primary school) at the age of 6 years.
There they stay until the 4th grade. After that the teacher decide, which school is the best for the children.
There are 3 different types of schools:
In the 5th and 6th grade a pupil finds out if it was the right choice. After this school a pupil passes his/her O-level. After he or she has passed the O-level he or she can go to a grammar school or start an appranticeship.
In the different federal states in Germany there are differences so you can change to a private school or to a comprehensive school.
