1. Location
Spain consists the Balearen of the Iberi
peninsula, and of the Kanaren. Particularly we specialized in Mallorca,
the largest island of the Balearen. The number of inhabitants of approx.
400000 trebles itself in the high season. Mainly German, in addition, Englishmen
spend its vacation on the island. The largest entertainment mile, called
the " Ballermann " is in El Arenal. Not only the cheap tourism boomt, but
also many prominent ones spend the summer months in the calmer areas Mallorcas,
which are been situated in the north.
2. Ecological effect
Virginia, a girl from a resort in south
Spain reported us in the Eduvinet Discussionsforum on the tourism industry
and their effects. It is the opinion that the Tourisen does not get dirty
directly the environment, but are indirectly the Spaniards by the mass
the tourism forced to form new infrastructure. It thinks that its environment
destroy the country e.g. by the building of motorways and large hotel systems.
3. Economy effect
Mallorca depends, in contrast to the mainland
rule quite on the tourism. From the tourism many jobs, this result are
however usually cheap jobs, since the large taverns and Discos often are
in German hand.
4. Social effect
Mallorca is the vacation island number one
of the Germans. Over 19 millions. Visitors are expected annually. Due to
that predominantly German guests feel these already as in the own country
(and behave also in such a way). This has the consequence that the island
is ever more eingedeutscht. E.G. Discos with German Flair, thus names such
as Upper Bavaria and German hits. To the typical lunch of a holiday-maker
not Paella belongs, but white sausages and sauerkraut. Therefore it is
not a miracle that the Spaniards in their own country feel such as foreigner.
They must watch, how goes to Spanish the traditions in this way broken.
